Next Friday, the brokers and staff and Windermere Redmond will be partnering up with YWCA Family Village in Redmond for Community Service Day 2015. YWCA Family Village Redmond is a safe and beautiful building located in downtown Redmond with 20 units of transitional housing for families who have experienced homelessness. They offer an early learning center and head start program as an affordable, high-quality child care for the greater Redmond community and Family Village residents. Other invaluable services at this location include providing low-income or homeless women with work-appropriate clothing for interviews or a new job, transitional housing, and job search, training and placement services for eligible food stamp recipients.
Next Friday, Windermere Redmond will be working hard to clean-up the facility at Family Village. They’ll be power washing play structures outside, painting raised vegetable gardens, and washing, dusting, and cleaning up the lobby and main floor. They’ll also be organization their donations to be more accessible for the staff and residents. Outside, they’ll be trimming, cutting, and weeding the gardens. They’ve got a big day ahead of them, and they can’t wait to lend a helping hand to YWCA Family Village!
