This morning the Eastside Windermere Foundation was honored as LifeWire‘s Partner of the Year at the organization’s annual Hope Starts Here Breakfast. Windermere broker Joel Scott accepted the award on the Foundation’s behalf.
The Eastside Windermere Foundation has been supporting LifeWire (formerly Eastside Domestic Violence) for 15 years. This last year, we provided them with a grant to continue supporting their Hotel-Motel Voucher program. This provides short-term stay in hotels and motels for victims of domestic violence until safe housing can be found.
LifeWire envisions a world in which every person lives in a safe environment, free from oppression and with the opportunity to thrive. Every day the abused children, victims and families who come to LifeWire are winning the battle against domestic violence. LifeWire’s programs and services have been helping victims become survivors, changing the statistics, redefining the positive outcomes along the healing journey, ending domestic violence, and improving lives.
